Designing a building or a garment asks the same question: how to structure a material within precise constraints, to hold a three-dimensional shape from a two-dimensional plan.
The scale changes, not the logic.
UseUp applies that rigour to pattern-making: optimising every pattern to reduce fabric use, without ever compromising the garment’s shape or drape.
That first tool already laid the foundations of our approach. UseUp is its continuation today: having learned to adapt the garment to the body, the task is now to adapt it to the available fabric.
